Phase two
A large sports complex that will host so much more than sports.
Phase Two will include two full-sized, indoor soccer fields and between them classrooms, offices, and more. Haiti does not have a facility like this. We plan to welcome top-level sporting events as well as host conferences and concerts.
The facility will be earthquake and hurricane resistant and, in case of natural disasters, will serve as a short-term emergency shelter. The building is strategically designed with two separate fields, allowing for a women and children’s shelter and a men’s shelter.
We have an engineer working on the plans and infrastructure of all the buildings and have an estimated cost of $1.5 million. It is our hope and prayer that we would be able to break ground on phase one this year and start construction of the community hall, education center, guesthouse, and shop. When that is completed, we will then embark on the second phase of the King Center. As God continues to lead us into the future, we have become even more certain of His mission for us here in Haiti.
